    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, met on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Amman Chamber branch in Al-Dhahirah Governorate, Saif bin Saeed Al-Badi, where they discussed aspects of economic cooperation between the two chambers.
    Al-Ruzaiza noted the depth of relations between the Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman, describing it as a true model and example for Gulf and Arab cooperation in all fields.​
    During his meeting with Al-Badi, who headed an Omani trade delegation comprising officials and businessmen, Al-Ruzaiza said that the private sector in the two countries can, in light of the favorable conditions supported by the two countries' visions for the future, play a major role in increasing the horizons of economic cooperation, enhancing intra-trade, and establishing more investment projects, pointing out Asharqia Chamber, in the framework of its objectives to strengthen joint trade relations between the private sector in both countries, puts all its capabilities to facilitate the tasks of the business sector in order to expand investment circles, enhance trade exchange and establish complementary investments between the two sides.​

    For this part, Al-Badi said that the Kingdom and the authority of Oman enjoy distinguished economic and trade relations, stressing the importance of strengthening these relations by discussing investment opportunities in various sectors, the most prominent of which are construction, oil and water treatment, indicating that Oman is looking forward to holding many companies between the business sector in The two countries affirm the aspirations of the two countries aimed at developing trade exchange, and complement the development plans between the Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman, which have taken great strides over the past years.
    Mineral products, plastics, agricultural, animal and industrial products, natural resources and organic chemical products are considered among the most important commodities and products of trade exchange between the two countries, which increased in the year 2021 AD by 5.3% compared to the year 2020 AD, and it increased by 23.4% compared to the year 2017 AD, which indicates that the years witnessed The next step is a greater increase in the volume of trade exchange and diversification of investments between the two countries, especially in light of the keenness shown by the leaderships of the two countries to expand the base of economic partnerships.
    The meeting was attended by a member of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Bassam, and the Secretary-General, Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and from the Amman Chamber, the deputy head of the branch in Al-Dhahirah Governorate, Ibrahim bin Hamad Al-Hinai, and a member of the Board of Directors, Fahd bin Rashid Al-Zaidi.​
